Keystone ClubList Item 2
Keystoning is the Boys & Girls Club Movement’s ultimate teen program. This unique leadership development experience provides opportunities for young people ages 14 to 18. Youth participate, both in and out of the Club, in three focus areas: academic success, career readiness and community service. With the guidance of an adult advisor, Keystone Clubs aim to have a positive impact on members, the Club and the Community.
The Keystone Career & Internship Program (K-CIP) is an advanced leadership experience program for teens ages 14 to 17, providing impact in Academic Success, Career Preparation, and Community Service & Teen Outreach. In addition, teens will develop personal skills related to employment responsibilities in work situations, workplace behavior, and an opportunity to gain actual work experience.

Million Hours of Service
Million Members, Million Hours of Service (MMMHS) encourages good character and appreciation for citizenship and provides every Club member with opportunities to serve in year-round Club and community based volunteer service experiences.

Torch Club Torch Clubs are chartered, small-group leadership and service clubs for boys and girls ages 11 to 13. A Torch Club is a powerful vehicle through which Club staff can help meet the character development needs of younger adolescents at a critical stage in their life.

Youth of the Year Established in 1947, Youth of the Year is BGCA’s premier recognition program for Club members, promoting service to Club, community and family; academic success; strong moral character; life goals; and poise and public speaking ability. AVBGC hosts our local Youth of the Year recognition dinner in the first quarter of the year.

Jr. Youth of the Year
Junior Youth of the Year seeks to develop junior leaders ages 10-13 within the Club environment. The program fosters Club members’ emerging leadership abilities while preparing them for later participation in the Youth of the Year program. In addition to recognizing the leadership achievements of Club youth, Junior Youth of the Year also cultivates their leadership potential, providing the foundation they need for advanced leadership development, academic excellence and postsecondary success. Through this program, Club youth become motivated to seek opportunities for leadership and to act as responsible citizens and change agents. This program is sponsored by Antelope Valley Ford and the Ford Motor Company Fund.
