WHAT IS THE TEEN TECH CENTER?

The Best Buy Teen Tech Center is a welcoming, creative space where motivated teens can explore film-making, music production, designing, and more. This is a self-directed, project-based environment for teens who want to learn, create, and build real-world skills. Teens work on hands-on projects that help them build confidence, and a strong foundation for their future—whether that’s college, a trade, entrepreneurship, or a career in STEAM. Our mission is to bridge the digital divide by giving young people the tools, guidance, and inspiration to explore their passions and thrive.

  • Project-based learning
  • Access to professional technology and creative tools
  • Workshops, programs, internships, scholarships, and paid opportunities
  • Mentorship and peer collaboration

  • Opportunities through Best Buy and the global Clubhouse Network

Q: What types of teens thrive at the Teen Tech Center?

Teens who are curious, passionate, motivated, and excited to learn or improve their skills. No experience is required, just interest and a willingness to participate. Teens of all skill levels are welcome.

Q: Is the Teen Tech Center a daycare?

No. We are a creative learning space. Teens are expected to stay engaged, work on projects, participate respectfully, and take ownership of their ideas. We teach, mentor, and support them as they grow professionally.

Q: What can my teen do there?

Teens can create music, videos, art, merch, digital designs, and so much more. They can explore VR, robotics, podcasting, esports, 3D printing, and creative projects of all kinds. They’ll have the chance to connect with mentors, network, build real tech skills, discover career paths, and develop a portfolio or résumé they can be proud of.

Q: How can I support my teen’s participation?

Ask about their projects, celebrate their progress, and encourage them to make the most of our space and resources. Stay up to date on events and opportunities sent to your email after registration, and don’t forget to follow us on social media.
